6 Simple Tips To Achieve More In Less Time

I found this article on how to achieve more in lesser time. Interesting article. If you want to get the most from life you need to manage your time correctly. If you do you will get more done in less time, feel happier, less stressed and get more form life and these tips are simple ones, that you can apply in your work or home life.

So let’s look at how to do much more in less time. We all know the main key to effective time management is planning and these 6 points will fit into any plan, so let’s look at them.

1. Divide your day into segments
Divide your time for specific tasks into time slots and group them together try to avoid multi tasking – you wont get more done you will get less, because a single task won’t have your full attention. Also get used to avoiding the bombardment of modern communications such as trying to answer emails all day long or constantly answering your mobile phone. Clear you mind and for parts of the day turn off your mobile phone and shut your email box.

2. Prioritize
Prioritize your tasks and do your least favourite tasks FIRST. There are tasks we all hate (there a bit like going to the dentist you know your going to have to do them eventually) so clear your mind of them and do them first. Then number the tasks in order of priority and clear them in sequence.

3. The 15 Minute Rule
If a task takes less than 15 minutes try and do it right away or on the same day. This is a great way to stop tasks piling up. One of the keys to time management is moving on tasks quickly, getting them out of the way and the 15 minute rule will help you.

4. Clear Your Desk
Don’t allow your desk to pile with paper! As soon as you receive correspondence and tasks they should be in your diary, in order of priority and out of the way. Having a clear desk and a clear mind to concentrate

5. Delegate
How is your time best spent? Put a value on your time and if you find that tasks that can be done cheaper by delegating then delegate them and spend your time on the ones that you know make you the most productive. The industrial age was built on division of labour and trying to do everything went out of fashion in the 19th century!

6. Beware of Others
There are plenty of people who may want favours from you, or want to take up your time with their problems, but there is a time and place to do this! Don’t try and solve the world’s problems, when you can’t get to grips with your own life. Make sure you are sensible in the time that you devote to others. The above are simple tips that will allow you to manage your time more effectively and make you more productive, giving you more quality time to devote to yourself and do the things that you enjoy most.

Durians !!! YUMMILICOUS!!!

It has been keep on raining for last few days. Cold eh? What's better to do to keep warm by having durians!!! Hehehe.... had a few last weekend. My uncle brought some durians during his business trip to Perak. One word to describe durians which is YUMMILICOUS!!! So guys and gals when you all gonna organize a durian eating session? Remember to invite me also..... Hehehehehe.... Check out the pelbagai jenis of durians in Malaysia. I got it from an forward emails.

D11: "Number Eleven" is a very popular durian in the 70's. It has creamy yellow flesh with a pleasant taste and a subtle smell.

D604: The durian was first cultivated by the late Mr. Teh Hew Hong of Sungai Pinang, Balik Pulau. The flesh is quite sweet, and has some "body" to it as the seed is small.

D600: This durian originates in Sungai Pinang in Balik Pulau. The flesh has a bittersweet taste to it, with a touch of sourness.

D700: The flesh is darker than D600, like chrome yellow. Also slightly hard. Crispy, but the smell is not very strong

Ang Sim (Red Heart): A durian with flesh which is quite soft and very sweet, and dark yellow in colour. It also has a nice aroma.

Khun Poh: This durian takes the name of the late Mr Lau Khun Poh, who first budded it. Khun Poh has beautiful orangy flesh with a slightly bitter-sweet taste and a heavy aroma.

Hor Loh (Water Gourd Durian): The flesh of the Hor Loh is very soft, dry and quite bitter. It has a sharp smell to it. Hor Loh was first cultivated at the Brown Estate of Sungai Ara. It got its name from its appearance resembling a "Hor Lor" pumpkin. If the durian hits the ground hard when it falls, the flesh tends to be bitter thereafter.

Ang Heh (Red Prawn Durian): Originates from Pondok Upeh, Balik Pulau, and has a round-shaped husk. The orange reddish flesh is highly aromatic, very soft with a bitter-sweet taste.

Xiao Hung (Little Red Durian) :Whose name means "Little Red One," originates in Sungai Pinang, Balik Pulau. The flesh has a bittersweet taste to it, with a touch of sourness. There are only one or two seeds per section, but the flesh is thick.

Yah Kang (Centipede Durian):Its flesh is whitish, the taste is superb, milky, like very sweet, melting chocolate. The name "yah kang" means centipede, and accounts for the number of centipedes found at the foot of the tree, hence giving it the rather unusual name.

Bak Eu (Pork Fat Durian): Has a slightly acidic aroma. The flesh is whitish while the taste is quite bitter but nice.

D17: D17 is dark cream flesh. The taste is slightly dry but sweet. It is a tasty durian.

Coupling: This durian is gets its unusual name because it looks like two durians joined together, one big and one small. When split open, you almost thought the two halves belong to two different durians. Coupling has whitish flesh which is slightly dry but tastes good.

Ooi Kyau (Tumeric Durian): The name Ooi Kyau (tumeric) describes the colour of the bright yellow flesh of this durian. It is very sweet and tasty.

Chaer Phoy (Green Skin Durian): Chaer Phoy is shaped like a small canteloupe. The skin is bright green, giving it the name which means "green skin". Chaer Phoy has creamy white flesh which is a bit dry, not too sweet but tasty.

Ang Jin (Red Yoke Durian): As the name suggests, Ang Jin Durian has deep orange flesh. It is very sweet and tasty.

Lin Fong Jiau: This durian is named after Lin Fong Jiau, aka Mrs Jackie Chan. I wonder whether it is indicative of the relationship of the celebrity couple, for Lin Fong Jiau is a bittersweet.

046461234 - Whose Number is this?

Update: At 1:58 pm just now, I did call this number 04-6461234!!! Keng mou?!! First try, the line was engaged, so mah call for second time, and guess what!!!! It is true!!! There is a girl behind that number saying Jia Jian Le!!! WTF? Scary and spooky!!! Luckily, it is broad day light here and so many people around me. Hehehehe.. I did passed the phone my colleague to verify it, I scare me listen wrongly mah. And yes, he also listen the same thing, but he mentioned that it is most probably is a recording message. How true is it? Let you guys call up that number and decide yourself. At least I did call that number and listen the sweet little voice. Hahahahhahahahahhaa....................

Hello!!! Wei wei!!! Moshi moshi!! Not sure whether this news is old news or what. I get to know about this when I was browsing thru lowyat forum. Recently, a local number, 046461234, spreading around like nobodt business. It is rumoured that this telephone number is actually haunted, not sure how true is it. It claimed that after you dailed the number, you'll hear a girl's sad voice repeating something like "Jai Jian le" (see you again). And surprise, surprise you won't be charged for the call. Furthermore, it is said that the voice belongs to a girl before she commit suicide.

So scary boh? Anyone have the balls to call that number?
Kenny, I remember you got a blog writting about this kind of phenomena. You maybe want to check it out. Try at your own risk. Hehehehee... Maybe I should try and investigate this mystery. Some claimed that they called TM and been informed that this number is related to a suicide case. Some even claimed that that before putting the phone down, they can hear the girl said "you have 7 days remaining" macam the horror movie, The Ring. WTF?? Dunno how true issit? In my opinion, this story has been over exaggerated until there are a few version of it.

From the forum, I also get to know that you can google this number up using Google.com revealing more website relating to this number. Check out also lowyat forum. There are some lists, claims and reactions about the haunted number. Not sure which is true, which is bullshitting. I copied some here.

'She was saying 'Jai jian le' (Goodbye)and then she suddenly screams 'Pu yao ta lai le' (Don't call here anymore. I threw my phone and break it. Thats the last word and its echoing in my head now. Is there really such a person? Can someone tell me the truth?'

'it could be land line connected to a answering machine or a programmable device... There's lot of people said that you won't be charged for calling this number... strange... base on the format of the number it's not a toll free number... or tm make it a toll free number? or the waiting tone is changed to the recorded voice... it must be tm people doing it'

'experienced before..but with different number and a girl was on the line shouting "help me help me !" and i was like wtf ?'

'I call telekom ask them if this number is available they say no. I ask why , they ask me back why I need to know this number. I cincai say I like this sequence of digit for my house phone want to buy from the owner of this number, so they tell me , it is currently under pending for some investigation. I ask what , they say the girl own this number murder her own family and commit suicide. I ask then investigate what , just release the number and let me have it lah , the operator say need to know the reason for suicide bla bla bla, I dont dare to dial'

'ok i was pretty afraid to call that number so i call telekom to verify and they told me the exact story above...plus something extra... they say the phone number is pending investigation and blocked! and no way anyone could call that number anymore. why the number is blocked? becoz they received reports that strange things happened to those who listened to that voice... and to think that u guys actually successfully called the number zai jian la...wooooooo'

'i heard my uncle say the number is a scam if u dun belive but u will be scared and this is what happens AFTER 7 DAYS if u called the number: the number will call u back in 7 days at nite exactly at 1 am and 3 am... will u dare to pick up?'

'All that I could remember is that I black out after calling this number. I could listen to a voice putting me to sleep. She gently told me to let go. I don't know let go off what. I just feel really sleepy and I doze off. My girlfriend said I was mumbling 'Goodbye' in Mandarin. And she tried waking hard waking me up. After applying 'Minyak Cap Kapak' under my nostrils, I woke up blurry. Thats all that I can remember. I'm scared'

'oh my god when I dialed the number my dog started barking at me, then I felt a cold wind. a really cold wind, no joke! am I going to die?'

'She's a nice girl. I talked to her a couple of times. She told me she was lonely and she just wanted someone to talk to. I thought, why not la huh. I'm alone sometimes and everybody needs a friend also. So I called her. There was no ringtone. She answered right away. I chatted with her a while. She told me her parents were out and she doesn't sleep much.Everything was okay. Until the moment I asked her, her name. She just kept repeating 'Jai Jian Le'. And I heard the exact whisper behind me.Gosh, I must have fainted'

So those who are brave enough, please do leave a comment and tell us your experience about it. Call at your own risk. Don't run back to me and sue kau me for scaring you, ok!! If you all still do not believe, why not try to download the recorded sound of the call
here. Have fun!!

Freaking Busy Week...

Since last week till today, I was really busy, really did not have time blog properly. Unable to see sunlight a few days. Last Thursday, I was late for work as I u-turn back to home to get fresh clothes as I had a nose bleed. Did not notice it till the smell of blood caught attention. By that time, my t-shirt already drenched with my blood and my face was bloody, like kena belasah. Hahahahaha.... Nose bleed again... Geez.. Must be the weather or must be the stress due to the workload lately, need to handle 2 big quality issues.

Anyway, the fire drill rehearsal was on going when I reached, locked out from the premises for half an hour. What a day to start work? Took a puff before entering. Can't remember since when the last time I participate in a fire drill rehearsal. Has been quite something. I think the last one I had is during secondary. Must due to my work nature at my previous company, I miss out the fire drill. Luckily no fire, if not I already become roasted pig!! Hehehe...

That evening, Handsome Guy and I left the company early for Warehouse Sales at PJ. Planning to get a pair of Levis jean but as usual, the warehouse sales was really disappointing. Not much variety, mostly large size left and 2 price tags for members and non-members. Sucks big time.

Since we were near PJ Oldtown, I decided to try out the Claypot Chicken Rice and double-boiled soup I read before at Precious Pea's blog. It has been ages since I visited PJ Oldtown. The shop located directly opposite the Pasar Besar Jalan Othman. The shop has no name or signage. We ordered Claypot Chicken Rice for 2 people, 2 barley ice, 1 small plate of green vege (not sure what it call already, just cincai order nia), 1 black pepper pig stomach for myself and 1 ABC soup for Handsome Guy. The claypot came in a big portion but just nice for me and Handsome Guy. The well-marinated chicken, lap cheong and the salted fish are yummilicous. The small plate of green vege is large in portion, drenched with oyster sauce and garlic oil. Overall pleasant, cheap and good meal to have, only that I was sweating profusely, panasssssssnya!!! Total damage only RM22 including the drink!!! Isn't it cheap??

Been locked out of the company...

Taking a puff while waiting...
