An Interesting Insight into Decision Making...

Decisions and choices!!! In our daily life, we alway face with making decisions or choices. A decision that we made sometimes will affect our lives or others without us aware of it. Sometimes we alway heard people said that they have no choices but to do this and that, but actually there are alway choices in our life that we fail to find out and make the decision which are the choices we have. We are aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to been made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may be the right one.

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track.

The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make...

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, I thought the same way initially because to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational trac was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.

Sungai Klah Hot Springs for Team Building

Team building!!! Last Friday and Saturday, I was away for team building for my department at Sungai Klah Hots Springs, Sungkai a few km from Slim River exit from North-South Highway. We stayed at Trolak Country Resort, a resort cum fruit orchard. Just missed the durian fest but there are still many rambutans around!!! The rambutans there were juicy and yummilicous!!!

We started our journey to Trolak Country Resort with a treasure hunt. Total of 15 cars. My team consists my right wingman, HHTHJM, a colleague from Austin, Salenia and another colleague of mine, Yap. The hunt took us from Glenmarie, Shah Alam to Tanjung Malim to Slim River and ended at the resort during lunch time. Really enjoyed the hunt, as it prepared me and my other colleagues for our next treasure hunt, the Menara Hunt 2007 next weekend. My team took 2nd place, no bad for a beginner while Quek, my colleague who will be joining me for the next hunt teaming up with my dept big boss took the 1st place. Si beh tu lan!!! Miss out some easy questions!!! Arrggghhhhhh...!!!! Anyway, good hunt though.

After lunch, we assembled to get our room keys and start our team building activities. Lunch was so-so nia, not sure whether is the lunch or the breakfast cause me to have a stomach ache. Thank gawd, not so serious one!!! NMKCBB!!! During the indoor team building activities, we were divided into 6 groups and required to come out with our own team's shout, flag and not to forget our team's name. Guess what my team's name was? TRANSFORMER!!! Lame or not? But luckily got another team also chose the same name. Hahahahhaa.... damn kau lame!!!

At evening, it was free and easy time and we drove down to Sungai Klah Hot Springs a.k.a. TRAP (Taman Rekreasi Air Panas). It took us around 15 mins from the resort. Quite ulu place and the road quite narrow and winding. After we had a BBQ for dinner, it is time for our night jungle walk. The moment I was longing for!!! Turn out, it is damn kau fun and adrenalin rushing activity. Fucking nearly peed in my pants!!! The jungle was black pitch!!! We had to walkthrough the fucking jungle with a map, a candle and a single matchstick only and followed by walking using ropes tied to trees as guide. I bonked into trees a few times, as I was the leader the pack. Keng mou!!! Dun play play lor...!!! After the walk, while others rush back to have a good night sleep, my colleagues and I, 4 of us, went out to yam cha for some talking session at nearby mamak stall.

Next day, early early morning nia, need to wake up, have breakfast and drove down to the hot springs again for our next team building. Really damn kau potong stim!!! I was having my wet dream, nearly cum in my pants, then my blardy alarm went off!!! Geezz... At TRAP, we had our walk hunt around premises. Was really fun but a tiring hunt!!! Must walk from this end to the other end, take photos and videos here there, do stupid monkey faces and farney actions to complete the tasks. Had really good time when some of the tasks required the team to get wet!!! Totally awesome!!!

Next, we headed to the resort for lunch and to check-out before we assemble to prizing giving ceremony. After that, we hug-hug each other, say goodbye here and there before balik to our urbanized modern slavery again!!!!

Reach home at 5:30 pm. Was like a zombie!!! Half dead. Took a little nap till night!!! Damn kau nice punya team building!!! Hope there will be another one next year!!! Check out the pictures from my faithful hp. Still waiting to get other photos from my colleagues.

Dreams Come True When You Dare to Dream

What a day at work!!! Monday blues really sucks big time!!! No doubt about it!!! But this article from Jobstreet.com, I received from my email do really bring some fighting spirit in myself again. Fight O, fight O and fight O till the end. Naozumi "Nao" Tsuchiyama, a 26-year-old Japanese language instructor whose right leg was amputated as a child and now wears a prosthetic, had always wanted to become a boxer.

To do so, he needed a boxing license but was denied this in his home country on account of his physical condition. So, he went abroad but even then it wasn't easy for him.

The first time he applied for a boxing license from the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) in the Philippines, he was rejected because his condition was deemed not fit for boxing. Medical examinations showed otherwise, but the GAB would not budge.

Last August, he took part in a trial fight in the Philippines where he impressed the GAB officials in attendance. Despite a favorable recommendation from these representatives who were impressed with his performance, the GAB still rejected his application.

Undeterred, Nao persisted and flew to South Korea to take part in the World Boxing Association's annual conference. He returned to the Philippines with the assurance that there is no international policy preventing him from fighting professionally. This time around, the GAB relented and gave him his license.

Nao will be fighting his third match in the Philippines on Aug 9. JobStreet.com is proud to support Nao's endeavor.

Nice Story for Those Born Around 70's and 80's...

This really brings back lots of fond memories when I was small. I'm not sure but others, but I believe it does too. I think a bit old because I been receiving this email a few times but what the heck. Recently, I got this from a forward email again, just felt like it to post about it. For those who still not read about, you SHOULD!!!

We grew up watching Transformers, Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks (btw, there will a movie on Alvin and the Chipmunks, great isn't it!!!), Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask, Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam, Ultraman and the list goes on. Had to brush our teeth during recess at primary school. Had to hold plastic cups, line up with your classmates side by side and start brushing our teeth at some open area or maybe near some drain??

Do you still remember those scary moments that we had 'dentist' rooms where we had to have our teeth check? Not to forget our 'program minum susu' in primary school. Everybody is suppose to buy like cartons of milk that costed 30 cents. And you would see everyone drinking it everyday... And, cheap Vitagen and free Milo. The teachers who would want to punish us must use yellow rulers to hit us on our palms. A packet of nasi lemak was only 20 cents. That a bowl of mihun soup or some soup only cost 50 cents at the school canteen. Curi-curi keluar went to some sundry shop near the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that we can buy junk food like Chickedees, Mamee, Ding Dong with some toys in it, 'Ti Kam', ice-cream and we would play games like monopoly, Uno, old maid and all other card games like that. Another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani. The boys would play football while the girls would play netball... and it would be like we were playing in the World Cup. Of course, The best would be main guli, seven 'buah' batu seremban, bottle caps, ice-cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two- three', Cops and Robbers, kalutuui, main kejar-kejar duduk. And for the not so active, those kinds of 'book games' where we would use buku latihan to draw and ask our friends to play.

Pop ice. Do you remember the ice-cream tubes which are actually ice and coloring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents. The colorful ones. Where you usually bite off the top to glue it down...what about days when we felt like doing naughty things such as folding papers so small to make 'lastik' and shoot each other...how about throwing chalks?? Back then, Michael Jackson was just turning white.. And still had albums coming out.. Compared to CD's, we were listening to tapes that sold for RM9.90. In computer class, we were still using green light or black-and-white computer monitors. Played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA or NINTENDO.

Well, are we all getting older or what?

1. If you understand what you have read and you are smiling.
2. We have friends from school that are already married.
3. We shake our heads every time we see high school students fussing about their hand phones in school.
4. We don't hang on phone with our friends for hours a day talking about nothing.
5. When we meet back with our friends from time to time, we feel excited and happy talking about old times, the funny 'adventures' or stories that we experienced as a kid.
6. Last but not least, that when you read this, you would think of all the happy & sad memories that you have experienced when you were still a kid and would think of forwarding this to your old friends that you have known since forever... I am sure they would have a huge smile on their face after reading this.....

Team Building - Sungai Klah Hot Springs

Yahooo... at last, time to relax and leave this blardy urbanized modern slavery for a day!!! Damn kau happy!!! Gonna have team building organized by my dept at Sungai Klah Hot Springs. Staying overnight at Trolak Country Resort. Check out the photos here. Clean, Green and Friendly. It is my first time joining a team building. So excited. Team building is quite common for a US based company. My previous companies don't have team building activities, but they do have a similar one, family day. Hehehehe.... team building or family day, both activities are held to build relationship and strengthen the bond between friends and families.

There will be a treasure hunt starting from my company up to Trolak Country Resort. Can't wait to have fun and sharpen my treasure hunt skills for next week hunt at Klang Valley. I was glad that HHTHJM can make it to the team building and join my treasure hunt team. It was a last minute thingie, and thank god her boss agreed on it. She will become my wingman for this hunt. Hope my team will finished at top five. Gambatte....!!!

Btw, I heard the hot springs at Sungai Klah is so hot till you can boil or cook eggs there!!! Awesome isn't it?? Maybe I should grabs some eggs and test it out or should I just cook my own eggs?? Hehehehe.. I will risk my future happiness just to test how hot is the hot springs!!! Okay, time to packed my stuff and crash!!! See ya on next 2 days!!! Good night...

The Simpsons Movie - I Was Elected to "Lead" Not to "Read"!!!

Just watched The Simpsons Movie, last Wednesday night. I know lar.. you guys watched already!!! Me slow mah, somemore caught up with mountains of work. Anyway, the movie was totally farney and sarcastic!!! No doubt one of the funniest and best comedy movie of the year. I did really have a good laugh till stomach also pain, bringing some joy over my blardy modern slavery . The last funniest movie I watched was Wild Hogs. Hahahaha... I think the movie could be a bit longer, because I can't get enough of it even just for 1.5 hours of the sarcastic jokes. Geez, the blardy time do REALLY flies!! Okay, I don't to dwell on the movie so much, cause I think many of us already seen the movie and read lots of reviews of this movie.

But let me present you with the plot of the movie (the spoiler lar) for those who not yet go watch and interested. Highlight to read it.

Green Day is performing at Lake Springfield, where they fail to engage the audience in talking about the environment. They are killed when the pollution in the lake eats away at their vessel, causing it to sink. At the funeral, Grampa has a vision of a great catastrophe to come, but only Marge listens. Lisa and an Irish boy named Colin hold a seminar entitled "An Irritating Truth", which convinces the town to successfully clean up the lake. Meanwhile, Homer dares Bart to skateboard nude to Krusty Burger, but Bart is caught by Chief Wiggum. Ned Flanders comforts Bart after being humiliated, but Homer ignores him and adopts a pig. Homer keeps the pig's waste in an overflowing silo, which horrifies Marge, who tells Homer to dispose of it safely. While waiting in a line at the dump, Homer decides on a quicker means of disposal and dumps the silo into the lake, causing it to become heavily polluted. Nearby, Flanders and Bart bond during a hike and discover a mutated squirrel, which is captured by the EPA. Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, tells President Schwarzenegger that Springfield is extremely polluted and the government must take drastic action. As a result, the EPA places Springfield in a giant glass dome.

The police discover Homer's silo in the lake, and an angry mob approaches the Simpsons' home and torches it. The family escapes the dome through a sinkhole and flee to Alaska. Seeing the dome begin to crack and realizing the inevitable escape of the people of Springfield, Russ Cargill manipulates the President into deciding to destroy the town. While enjoying life in Alaska, the Simpsons see an advertisement promoting a new Grand Canyon, to be located where Springfield is. Marge and the kids decide that they must save the town, but Homer refuses to help the town that tried to kill him, leading to his family abandoning and leaving for Springfield. After a visit with a mysterious Inuit shaman, Homer has a vision and reaches an epiphany: to save himself and his family he must save Springfield. Meanwhile, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, and Bart are captured by Cargill and returned to the town. Cargill appears and tells the people of Springfield that the town will be destroyed. A helicopter arrives and opens a hole at the top of the dome, lowering down a bomb. Homer climbs the dome and descends, knocking the escaping townspeople and bomb off the rope. Homer notices a motorcycle, grabs Bart, and cycles up the side of the dome. Bart throws the bomb through the hole, detonating it and shattering the dome. The town praises Homer, who rides off with Marge on the motorbike into the sunset. The film ends with everyone restoring Springfield, including the Simpsons' house, back to the way things were.

So what you guys waiting for somemore!!! This great movie is a must watch movie!!! So go watch now before too late and laugh your ass off!!! No bluff one!!!

Just got an email from AirAsia. Surprise, surprise!!! Why got spelling error geh? Hahahah... Bangkok Nerver Sleep? Or should it be Bangkok Never Sleep? Walau... like this also can one?? *fainted* I think it should Bang Cock Never Sleep sounds more catchy. Correct or not? Good nitezzzz....

Virus, virus, virus in MSN Messenger...

Lately, I been receiving request to accept files from friends in MSN Messenger. Mostly photos, sometimes includes naked photos. *fainted* Beware if you all don't know about it, make sure don't simply accept the request. Double confirm it first with your friends.
